Career Opportunity: Field Service Technician
Control Chief is looking for a Field Service Technician for our team.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Installing new equipment at customer locations and ensuring proper operations.
- Performing preventative maintenance checks and servicing equipment with the understanding of engineering schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Comprehension of industrial control electronics, along with RF and PLC knowledge.
- Troubleshoot equipment and implement solutions.
- Provide phone technical support and guidance to customers.
- Maintain service records and parts inventory.
- Comply with all company safety procedures and quality standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency with tools and equipment used for installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interact and build relationships with customers.
- Able to lift up to 75lbs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other co-workers.
- Efficiently manage schedules and complete tasks with deadlines.
- Be familiar with the operations of any standard and any specialized test equipment required to perform their duties. This will include but is not limited to:
- Oscilloscopes, digital multi-meters, frequency counters, analog voltmeters, spectrum analyzers, and watt-meters.
- Basic knowledge of industrial relay logic and wiring is required.
- PLC trouble-shooting is required.
- Comfortable with confined spaces.
Credentials and Experience:
- Associate (Preferred) or equivalent experience
License/Certification:
- Driver’s License (Required)
Travel:
- 75% (Preferred)
- Continental United States and Canada

Control Chief is looking for an Assembler for our team.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Solder, wire and perform intricate component assemblies.
- Use simple tools, machines and test fixtures.
- Perform consistent task operations.
- Follow verbal and written instructions, assembly prints, along with visual aids.
- Execute operations associated with the assembly area.
- Uphold workmanship standards.
- Repair productions, assemble parts, etc.
- Complete required reports and paperwork.
- Fit parts to established tolerances.
- Mount and connect electronic components.
- Make final modifications as needed.
- Responsible for following the requirements of the Quality Management System.
- Assist in other departments as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Dexterity and hand, wrist, and arm movement needed.
- Prolonged sitting and standing are a factor.
- Detailed and consistent task execution.
- Ability to understand and comply with ESD standards and procedures.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and other co-workers.
- Differentiate colors and be able to see and identify small electronic components.
- May be required to use magnifiers, eye loupes and microscopes.
Credentials and Experience:
- Experience related to electronic and mechanical assembly, and inspection that will allow the performance of the duties associated with this position
Special Requirements:
- Continual self-improvement courses, internal training or seminars may be required at management’s discretion.
- May be required to perform jobs other than those listed.
- Must present a “team” attitude within the organization.
